Redefining Female Bodies in Fashion Advertising

Megan Stringfellow

Join us for an evening of insight, creativity, and connection as we explore the powerful intersection of art, fashion, and body image.

In collaboration with Dory Gallery’s Life Drawing Class, artist Megan will lead a thought-provoking talk, Redefining Female Bodies in Fashion Advertising, examining how fast fashion, cultural beauty standards, and social media shape our perceptions of the female form. Through her paintings, drawings, prints, and garment-making, Megan challenges traditional narratives, sparking conversations about authenticity, body diversity, and empowerment in visual culture.

After the talk, guests are invited to stay for Dory Gallery’s Life Drawing Class—a celebration of the beauty and individuality of the human body through art.
